Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri in Maharashtra. The fortification at Rajmachi consists of two forts, namely Shrivardhan Fort and Manaranjan Fort. Rajmachi Fort is a popular trekking destination. It is a very famous fort located near famous hill stations of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khandala. Fort has been declared as a protected monument.

Fanasrai
• 06:30 – hrs Catch train for Lonavala from Mumbai or Pune.
• 08:30 – hrs Reach Lonavala, meet the team and catch private vehicle for Fanasrai(The Trek Start Point)
• 09:30 – hrs Start the trek after breakfast & a brief introduction session. 6km plain walk trek to Rajmachi from Fanasrai i.e. 2 2.5 hrs. Enjoy waterfalls on the way
• 11:30 – hrs Start 40min trek to Shreevardhan Fort
• 12:15 – hrs Reach the top, explore the fort and spend some time soaking in the beauty
• 13:30 – hrs Reach Udhewadi and have homely local lunch.
• 14:30 – hrs Start return trek towards Fanasrai.
• 16:30 – hrs Reach Fanasrai. Say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again, leave for Lonavala in our private vehicle. We will each Lonavala Station by 6pm(we may reach 1 hour early or late) catch the train back to Mumbai/Pune. This brings us to the end of our trip, Or rather just the beginning
Catch a train from Mumbai or Pune which reaches Lonvala at around 8.30 am
We will be mailing you the details about the trek a day or two before the trek. We will also create a WhatsApp group a day before the trek.
This trek is of low difficulty with moderate endurance with around 3-4 hours of hike each side.
We encourage you to come and experience the trek with us. Trekking is not about speed and our representatives will be there to encourage you to complete the trek
The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian
Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.
It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.
Yes, you can bring your car
You will not get washrooms during the trek. Washrooms are available at Lonavala and at Rajmachi
Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.
You will get limited connectivity during the trek.
We will be having locally cooked meals
You won’t get water during the trek, you need to carry at least 2 litres of water with you
We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.
We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. Also carry a Raincoat/ wind cheater for the rains. Umbrellas are a strict NO.
We recommend trekking shoes or good quality sports shoes with firm sole
