Alibaug, surrounded by sea on three sides, is very commonly known as the ‘Goa’ of Maharashtra. It is known for its plethora of clean beaches, delicious food and a cluster of forts and temples. It is a serene locality that offers tourists and adventures seekers a number of activities to choose from. Combine it with cycling, which is emerging as a fast-growing trend among enthusiasts, and you have a perfect weekend get-away.

Join us as we ride through Alibaug’s small town habitations, neighboring white sand beaches, coconut tree groves, lush green forests and vast open fields that lie inland, enjoying stunning views of the vast sea and beautiful horizon. We will explore secluded beaches and scenic spots, as we cycle unhindered for around 40 kms. Test your mettle and enjoy the wind in your hair, the sand at your feet and the blue seas around you!

Itinerary

Day 1

• 06:00 hrs – Gather at Colaba for Orientation and Distribution of cycles and refreshments
• 07:00 hrs – Catch a ferry from Bhaucha Dhakka
• 08:30 hrs – Reach Revas Dhakka and start the ride to Kihim beach (17 kms) and have breakfast in between
• 12:10 hrs – Reach Kihim beach, we will have our lunch here and relax for some time.
• 14:30 pm – Start the journey towards Awas beach (10 km)
• 15:30 pm – Reach Awas Beach
• 16:30 pm – Start ride towards Revas Dhakka(13 km) and from there board the ferry for Bhaucha Dhakka
• 19:00 pm – Reach Bhaucha Dhakka and deposit your cycles at the start point. This brings us to the end of our amazing adventure.

How will you contact me once I register?

We will be mailing you the details about the ride a day or two before the event.

What is the difficulty level of this route?

The difficulty level of this ride is easy. Majority of the route is flat

Will I be able to complete the ride? I have not cycled for a long time.

We have had participants who cycles after a gap of 10 year or more complete the ride. We take ample stops in between so that the ride does not become strenuous.

I’m very tall/short, will I get a cycle for my height?

Please inform us beforehand for any special requirements, we will try to arrange the same.

What is the age limit of the ride?

The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian

Can I come alone?

Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.

Is it safe for a female solo traveller?

It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.

Can we smoke or drink alcohol?

Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.

Will I get water during the ride?

You need to bring water with you.

What if I’m unable to complete the ride?

Our experienced coordinators will make sure you complete the ride. In case you not able to, you need to transfer the cycles back to the start point.

What if I have a medical emergency?

We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.

What kind of clothing we need to wear?

We recommend you bright coloured comfortable clothes

  • Participants who have rented the cycles need to transport cycles back at the initial gathering point at their own expenses if unable to complete the ride.
  • Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited
  • Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery
  • A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances
  • Wandering Souls will not be responsible for any physical harm during the activity. If you follow the instruction of the coordinator, chances of getting hurt remain rare
  • Wandering Souls wouldn’t be responsible for any damages to cycles
