Fireflies or lightning bugs make light within their bodies. This process is called bioluminescence. Fireflies light up to attract a mate. This breath-taking show put on by nature resembles a psychedelic combination of stars falling and fireworks exploding It is an immersive experience you will never forget.
The fireflies do not always flash in unison. They may flash in waves across hillsides, and at other times will flash randomly. Synchrony occurs in short bursts that end with abrupt periods of darkness.

Please Note:
Bioluminescence by Fireflies is a natural phenomenon. The trip dates have been planned as per the mating season of fireflies i.e pre-monsoon during which we witness this phenomenon. We may or may not get to witness it. Wandering Souls won’t be held responsible for low or no sightings.

Day 1
10:16 hrs – Start by Kasara local starting from CST at 10:16AM. Get into the local from your respective stations.
12:30 hrs – Reach Kasara Railway Station. Move Campsite in our transfer vehicle
We then move towards our campsite and stop at a Dhaba on the way to have lunch(at own expense)
Reach bhandardara campsite, have your welcome drink and snacks followed by a brief introduction and get ready for some fun and games, after some time go for a boat ride(or do it next day)
Prepare for a night under the sky, let the Arijit Singh in you come out, play a few games, share stories (especially ghost stories), make new friends and enjoy the campfire
Enjoy barbeque, have delicious local cuisine for dinner under billions of stars. After dinner we will explore nearby areas to view the fireflies
Off to the tents for a sound sleep (For those who are very sleepy ). Day Ends
Day 2
07:00 – Wake up call, enjoy a beautiful sunrise
Have Breakfast & Tea
You can go for swimming if you like and then pack up your belongings
Say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again, leave for Kasara in our transfer vehicle. This brings us to the end of our trip, Or rather just the beginning.
Reach Kasara Railway station at around 1pm and catch Local to CST

What is the age limit for this trip?
The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian
Can I come alone?
Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.
Is it safe for a female solo traveller?
It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.

We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.
What kind of clothing we need to wear?
Comfortable clothing. Please carry jackets or woolens as it might get cold in the evening and early morning.
Do I need special shoes?
We recommend trekking shoes or good quality sports shoes with firm sole

Keep you distance from the trees or bushes where the fireflies are present and observe the phenomenon from a distance
Do not touch the fireflies

Disclaimer
Basic Washroom facility available at the campsite, it is outdoor experiential activity and not a leisure trip so one needs to prepare themselves accordingly

A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances
COVID Safety Guidelines
Each member of the group (participants/trek leads) will need to wear protective masks while interacting with others.
It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not travelled in a containment zone and have not come in contact with any person who was tested Covid positive in last 14 days.
The accommodation will be thoroughly sanitised
Follow safe health practices in case you want to cough, sneeze in public space or during activity.
Trek Lead would be carrying sanitizer, spare masks, few pairs of disposable gloves (in sufficient quantity) as a Covid Protection Kit.
It is mandatory that a participant informs the organisers if he tests positive for Covid within 14 days of returning from adventure activity. It will help the organisers to inform and alert all other persons in the group and concerned health authorities of Government, so that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard. Here it is absolutely essential that the participant observes transparency and informs the organisers/group leaders about his Covid test results. Organisers should actively pursue this matter with participants as this is a mutual responsibility.
