The Dayara Bugyal trek is home to snow topped trees, strechtes of snow covered forests, cattle feeding on the greatest meadows and the center of the green pastures in these mountains have always acclaimed the shepherds around.

This trek is exactly how kids would describe  a scenery while putting together a work of art during school days. Mountains, snow peaks, meadows, it is an almost unimaginable dream come true. The trek is a collection of picturesque views of bandarpoonch peak and many others in the Himalayan Range

The Dayara Bugyal trek includes a full day drive, easy walks to villages, steep climbs to the summit and a down hill exploratory stride.

Dayara Bugyal is an ideal trek for beginners to start their trekking journey in the Himalayas.

What to Watch Out For:
  • An opportunity to trek in the Alpine Bugyals of Dayara located at the height of 10,000 feet, Bugyal is the local word used for Meadows (Big Clearings in the mountains) and Alpine is the word used in mountaineering for Higher Altitudes.
  • The Glimpses of towering mountains like Mt Banderpoonch and Black peak, Mt Srikanth, Draupadi Ka Danda and Mt Jaunli all of them rising above 20,000 feet.
  • Camping near the Small lakes of Dayara bugyal, offering the beautiful sunsets in every season, the trek is closed in monsoons for the period of 4 months.
  • The alpine meadows are rich in biodiversity, a paradise for bird watchers as more than 40 species of Himalayan birds have been spotted, also you can spot Musk deer, Golden Jackal and Brown Bear as Dayara bugyal is located close to Gangotri national park.
