Kalavantin Fort built at the peak of a rocky plateau is situated between Matheran and Panvel in Maharashtra, at a height of 2,300 feet in the Western Ghats. The fort top commands an excellent view of the surroundings with Prabal in the front. Kalavantin Fort is an adjoining hill (pinnacle) to Prabalgad.

Thakurwadi
• 23.30 hrs – Meet at Panvel Station
• 00:00 hrs – Move towards Thakurwadi (Base Village) in our transfer vehicle
• 01:00 hrs – Start trek towards the Prabalmachi base village after a brief introduction session
• 03:00 hrs – Reach Prabalmachi, you can either take a nap or have some fun around the bonfire
• 05:00 hrs – Freshen up & have breakast
• 06:30 hrs – We will start our ascend to Kalavantin Peak
• 07:30 hrs – Reach Kalavantin, bask in the amazing landscape, take photos
• 09:00 hrs – Start descending towards prabalmachi
• 10:00 hrs – Reach Prabalmachi and have some snacks
• 11:00 hrs – Start descending towards Thakurwadi (After a mandatory group pic!!!)
• 12:00 hrs Reach Thakurwadi, say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again, leave for Panvel in our transfer vehicle. This brings us to the end of our trip, Or rather just the beginning.
We will be mailing you the details about the trek a day or two before the trek. We will also create a WhatsApp group a day before the trek.
This trek is of medium difficulty with around 2-3 hours of uphill walk/hike.
We encourage you to come and experience the trek with us. Trekking is not about speed and our representatives will be there to encourage you to complete the trek
The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian
Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.
It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.
Yes, you can bring your car
You will not get washrooms during the trek. Washrooms are available at the base village.
Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.
You will get limited connectivity during the trek.
Local home cooked meals
You won’t get water during the trek, you need to carry at least 2 litres of water with you
We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.
We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. Also carry a jacket/wind cheater for the cold
We recommend trekking shoes or good quality sports shoes with firm sole
