Get ready for one of the most exciting water based activity on this planet.

Kolad is situated on the bank of Kundalika in Maharashtra, which is just few hours drive from Mumbai and Pune. The Kundalika River is the major factor behind people’s choice to do white water rafting in Kolad. It is one of the fastest flowing rivers in the south that makes it water ideal for adventure filled rafting

Rafting in Kolad can be done any time during the year since the river will remain intact throughout the year but of course, monsoon has special interest in Kolad so that many of the adventure lovers admire being at Kolad during the rainy season when the rapids may grow up to another level of adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • 05:30 hrs: Board the Bus from Andheri
  • 06:00 hrs: Pick up from Dadar T.T
  • 06:20 hrs: Pick up from K-Star Mall, Chembur
  • 06:45 hrs: Pick up from Vashi Highway
  • 07:15 hrs: Pick up from Kalamboli
  • 08:45 hrs: Reach the start point, get fresh and prepare yourselves for the rafting session after a brief introduction
  • 09:00 hrs: Rafting session begins
  • 12:30 hrs: Rafting ends, drive back to the start point in our vehicle
  • 13:00 hrs: Change into dry clothes and have a delicious lunch
  • 15:00 hrs: Say your goodbyes with a promise to meet again, leave for Mumbai in our Bus. This brings us to the end of our trip, Or rather just the beginning. of your adventures with Wandering Souls
  • 20:00 hrs: Reach Mumbai

Do you need to know swimming?

No, you don’t need to know swimming for this activity. Life jackets and helmets are provided to all participants

Is it safe during monsoon?

Yes, it is completely safe during monsoon. In fact monsoon is the best season for River Rafting in Kolad

How will you contact me once I register?

We will be mailing you the details about the trek a day or two before the trek. We will also create a WhatsApp group a day before the trek.

What is the age limit for this activity?

The age limit for the activity is 12 years and above. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian

Can I come alone?

Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.

Is it safe for a female solo traveller?

It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.

Can I Bring my Car?

Yes, you can bring your car

Are washrooms available ?

Yes, washrooms are available at the rafting start and end points

Can we smoke or drink alcohol?

Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.

Would I get cellular connectivity?

You will get limited connectivity.

What type of food will I get?

We will be having breakfast & Lunch at a local restaurant

What if I have a medical emergency?

We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.

What kind of clothing we need to wear?

  • A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Wandering Souls will not be responsible for any physical harm during the river rafting. If you follow the instruction of the coordinator, chances of getting hurt remain rare.
  • t is mandatory for each person to carry a govt. approved photo ID (original). You may/or may not be asked to show the same before the start of the activity.
  • No refund will be provided in case of late arrival or no show.

COVID Safety Guidelines

Each member of the group (participants/ leads) will need to wear protective masks while interacting with others.

It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not travelled in a containment zone and have not come in contact with any person who was tested Covid positive in last 14 days.
 
Follow safe health practices in case you want to cough, sneeze in public space or during activity.
 
Trek Lead would be carrying sanitizer, spare masks, few pairs of disposable gloves (in sufficient quantity) as a Covid Protection Kit.
 
It is mandatory that a participant informs the organisers if he tests positive for Covid within 14 days of returning from adventure activity. It will help the organisers to inform and alert all other persons in the group and concerned health authorities of Government, so that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard. Here it is absolutely essential that the participant observes transparency and informs the organisers/group leaders about his Covid test results. Organisers should actively pursue this matter with participants as this is a mutual responsibility.
