Sandhan valley, “The Great Canyon” in the Sahyadri ranges which is combination of a canyon and a valley. Located in the Ahmednagar district, India, near the famous fort Ratangad. Sandhan valley is undoubtedly The Valley of Shadows.

It is a unique experience combining adventure activities such as Rappelling and staying admidst nature

Itinerary

Day 0

  • 22:50 hrs – Board the Kasara Local start from CSMT at 10.50 pm from your respective stations.

Day 1

  • 01:30 hrs – Meet the team at Kasara station ticket counter, we will leave for the base village in our private vehicle
  • 05:00 hrs – Reach base village
  • 07:00 hrs – Freshen up, have breakfast and start preparing for the full descend trek towards sandhan valley
  • 13:00 hrs – Have Lunch enroute
  • 17:30 hrs – Reach the Campsite
  • 18:30 hrs – Prepare to spend the night under a billion stars. Play a few games, share travel stories & make new friends
  • 20:30 hrs – Have Dinner
  • 22:30 hrs – Off to the tents for a sound sleep. Day Ends

Day 2

  • 06:30 hrs – Wake Up Early. Freshen up & have breakfast
  • 08:30 hrs – Pack up your things and start the trek towards Dehne village
  • 11:30 hrs – Reach Dehne village, get fresh and have lunch
  • 13:00 hrs – Leave for Asangaon Station in our Transfer vehicle
  • 14:00 hrs – Reach Asangaon Station and leave for Mumbai. This brings us to the end of our trip or rather beginning of your adventures with wandering souls

What is the train schedule?

How will you contact me once I register?

We will be mailing you the details about the trek a day or two before the trek. We will also create a WhatsApp group a day before the trek.

What is the difficulty level of this trek?

This trek is of medium difficulty and involves rappelling.

Will I be able to do this trek? I have not trekked before.

We encourage you to come and experience the trek with us. Trekking is not about speed and our representatives will be there to encourage you to complete the trek

What is the age limit for this trek?

The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian

Can I come alone?

Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.

Is it safe for a female solo traveller?

It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.

Can I Bring my Car?

It is not recommended to bring your car as we would be starting and ending at different location

Are washrooms available during the trek?

You will not get washrooms during the trek. Washrooms are available at the base village.

Can we smoke or drink alcohol?

Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.

Would I get cellular connectivity?

You will get limited connectivity during the trek.

What type of food will I get?

You will get locally cooked veg meal

Will I get water during the trek?

You won’t get water during the trek, you need to carry at least 2 litres of water with you

What is the accommodation like?

It will be a tented accommodation on double/triple sharing basis

What if I have a medical emergency?

We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.

What kind of clothing we need to wear?

We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. Also carry a jacket/wind cheater for the cold

Do I need special shoes?

We recommend trekking shoes or good quality sports shoes with firm sole

  • Basic Washroom facility available at the village, it is trekking activity and not a leisure trip so one needs to prepare themselves accordingly

  • Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery
